At KAG we get asked a lot of questions regarding what happens next after a road accident or how your car will be repaired and what the standard procedure is. Below is a list of answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding the above.
Please select one of the questions below to reveal the answer;
- Can you help for all accidents, even a small dent?
-
For any accident, no matter how big or small, you can always call on KAG.
-
- My car is already home, but I don’t like the idea of driving it any further…
-
Don’t worry, we’ll come and pick the car up, using a transporter if necessary. We can arrange to recover your vehicle in all circumstances, whether it’s at the roadside, at another garage or elsewhere.
-
- Will I need to report the claim to my insurer if you are dealing with my claim?
-
We recommend that you call KAG first and we will advise you on exactly what to do depending upon the circumstances of your accident and the nature of the damage. If we recommend that you claim off your own policy, we can liaise with your insurer to progress your repairs. In this way you will have total control of where your vehicle is repaired and we can ensure that the most appropriate parts and repair methods are used in completing the work to manufacturer standards.
-
- If I use KAG will it increase my next insurance premium?
-
Definitely not if you were not at fault for the accident – the other party’s insurer pays for your claim. If the accident is your fault, any increase in your next premium should be no more than if any other bodyshop made the repair, as we approve all repair costs with your insurer prior to proceeding.
-
- What do I pay for this service?
-
This is a FREE service to all drivers – there’s no catch. We simply manage the claim on your behalf. When an accident is not your fault we recover all costs from the other party’s insurer.
Assuming that you are comprehensively insured, your only cost if the accident was your fault is your policy excess. Even then KAG will refund you up to 10% or the repair cost or £150 (whichever is the smaller) to help you meet this excess payment
-
- That all sounds a bit too good to be true…
-
It’s quite simple really. KAG doesn’t need to charge you for this service, as in most cases we will get paid for the repair by an insurer, whatever the circumstances of the accident. In return we’re happy to help make the whole process as painless as possible for our customers.
-
- Isn’t it just another middleman taking over the claim process?
-
KAG gives you much greater control over your insurance claim, by allowing you to exercise your legal right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. We’re here to take the hassle of making a claim off your hands. We’re here to make sure you get a professional repair service. We’re here to help maximise any insurance benefits you are entitled to and minimise the personal costs to you. Most of all we’re here to make the whole repair process as easy and convenient for you as possible. In short, we’re on your side.
